Unknown Artist Track 11 Lyrics
It easy to see that Craig Morgan is meant to be an artist in Nashville. His effortless southern voice and humble lyrics resonates easily with anyone who was raised in the country.
Craig Morgan's Early Years
He was born Craig Morgan Greer on July 17, 1965 in Kingston Springs, Tennessee and was raised in rural Tennessee where his father played in country bands and his grandfather owned a farm. He began singing early and when he was ten, while on a school trip to Nashville, he sang The Star-Spangled Banner well enough to catch the ear of Minnie Pearl, who came up to him and said "son, someday you’re gonna be a famous singer." [1]
After graduation he trained to become an emergency medical technician, and only a few years later he had joined the US Army. He was stationed in South Korea where he won various singing and songwriting contests held by the military. He holds Airborne, Jumpmaster and Air Assault qualifications and spent ten years as a Fire Support Specialist in the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions of the Army.
