Full House Soundtrack Lyric
The dynamite chemistry between the two musicians proved unstoppable. Although both shared the stage for the whole evening, most of the set featured Bentall’s newest songs off his latest album “Six Shooter” and stories that went along with recording it with his band “The Dustin Bentall Outfit”. Carson’s fiddle interludes and vocal harmonies complimented brilliantly to the evening’s program.
The variety in the play list kept you on the edge of your seat as influences such as Gram Parsons, Neil Young and The Waterboys were juggled into the set. Included was a beautiful rendition of “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” by the band Death Cab for Cutie and “Love Hurts” originally written by Boudleaux and Felice Bryant and later recorded by many, including Gram Parsons on his album “Grievous Angel”. The latter half had the crowd in their 40’s and 50’s joining in on the chorus.
The Waterboys’ “Fisherman Blues” had most of the crowd stomping if not tapping the heavy beat in unison with the two on stage. Carson’s dexterous fiddle solos were full of energy and vigour - a perfect song to showcase her passion and talent with Bentall’s slick but suitably husky vocals.
